Help Haiti: A listing of those who have
Its now been some 48 hours since the tragic “Haiti Earthquake” and from all signs the world is “stepping up to the plate.” As of today, its been estimated the Red Cross has raised over $7 million from mobile users texting “Haiti” to 90999 and committing to donate $10, and Wyclef via the Yéle Haiti, 501(c)(3) non-profit has raised over $2 million from texting “Yele” to 501501.
Considering BBC News noted the UN reported a total of about $270 million has been pledged (to date), following is but a portion of the DOCUMENTED and “fluid” listing of corporations (and others) pledging support to Haiti relief efforts:

- According to President Obama, the U.S. government will provide $100 million for relief in Haiti
- Russell Simmons’ camp has reporeted, to the New York Daily News, Tiger Woods is considering donating $3 million to send doctors and medical supplies to Haiti
- The World Bank has committed $100 million
- Ted Turner has given $1 million through his foundation
- The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation is giving $500,00 to the Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.
- Oprah’s Angel Network is donating $1 million to the American Red Cross for Haitian Relief
- Doctors Without Borders says Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $1 million to the group’s emergency medical operation as it responds to the disaster
- Citigroup pledged $2 million for immediate relief and recovery efforts. Of that, $250,000 will go to the American Red Cross with the rest going to “local partners for medium- to long-term reconstruction efforts
- Nomura (Japan) contributed roughly $100,000 in support
- Jefferies (Banking) pledged $1 million plus all of Friday’s net commissions and volunteered salaries. The sum will be shared between the American Red Cross, Unicef, Save the Children and the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund to aid relief efforts
- Bank of America Merrill Lynch has committed $1 million to help earthquake victims, with half of the amount going to the American Red Cross’ relief fund. The other half will go towards long-term recovery efforts to restore “basic medical services and fund rebuilding of homes, schools and other structures.”
- French lender Crédit Agricole pledged one million euros ($1.4 million)
- UBS (Swiss) and HSBC (UK) are also making donations
- Major League Baseball is donating $1 million to relief efforts, and the league’s premium channel, MLB Network, plans to air public service announcements to spur further donations from fans
- The NBA is working with UNICEF to help aid efforts in Haiti Samuel Dalembert, who was born in Port-au-Prince, will be presenting a $100,000 check to UNICEF
- Google will donate $1 million dollars to help organizations provide relief
- Morgan Stanley pledged a minimum of $1 million dollars in relief aid
- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. pledged a minimum of $1 million dollars in relief aid
- Visa Inc. announced a $200,000 donation to the American Red Cross, in addition to matching employee donations and waiving transaction fees for card members making donations to a number of major charities
- Discover Financial Services has made a donation of $100,000 for Haiti and is pledging $1 million more through a card member matching program
- BBVA Compass is donating $100,000 through an employee and customer matching program
- Deutsche Bank’s Global Markets Equity Group just announced it will donate all of the net equity trading commissions from January 14, 2010 to relief efforts
- JP Morgan pledged $1 million dollars through American Red Cross, CARE and World Vision (and WSJ.com reports they’ll match up to $250,000 in employee contributions)
- Bank of America pledged $1 million dollars through American Red Cross, CARE and World Vision
- TD Bank Financial Group donated $100,000 to the Red Cross
- Wells Fargo & Co. donated $100,000 to the Red Cross
- Harris Bank/BMO Financial Group has pledged $250,000, in addition to waiving all fees to send drafts and fund transfers to Haiti through February 12, 2010
- Citigroup has joined the relief effort on the ground, sending a team, medical equipment, humanitarian supplies and satellite phones
- BMO Financial Group (Canada) has pledged $250,000 to the Red Cross effort
- Montreal-based tour operator Transat will donate $25,000 to the Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Fund, and $25,000 to its partner SOS Children’s Villages, which runs a facility for orphaned and abandoned children in Port-au-Prince
- Rogers Communications and the Rogers family will donate $250,000 in funds and goods to Partners In Health: Haiti and other relief organizations.
- National Bank of Canada will contribute up to $250,000 to the Canadian Red Cross
- Scotiabank will give $250,000 to the Canadian Red Cross’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund
- TD Bank Financial Group will provide $100,000 to the Red Cross
- The Royal Bank of Canada will provide $100,000 to the Red Cross
- CIBC and FirstCaribbean International Bank will provide $100,000 to earthquake relief efforts
- Ikea Canada has promised a $50,000 donation to its long-standing philanthropic partner UNICEF
- Toronto-based Intact Financial Corporation has donated an initial $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross
- Home Hardware will donate $25,000 to the Mennonite Central Committee for the Haitian earthquake relief
- UPS has pledged $1 million in cash and in-kind support to earthquake relief efforts in Haiti through its charitable arm, The UPS Foundation
- The Principal Financial Group Foundation Gives $50,000 for Haiti Relief Operations
- Coca-Cola Co.’s charitable arm is donating $1 million to American Red Cross efforts in Haiti, and it donating bottled water and other drinks through its bottler in the Dominican Republic
- Walmart Foundation $600,000 (The Walmart Foundation said it plans to give $500,000 in cash plus food kits worth $100,000, both through the American Red Cross)
- Drugmaker Abbott Laboratories and its philanthropic foundation are providing $1 million in grant funding and donations of pharmaceutical and nutritional products

- The Western Union Co. said it would give $250,000 to earthquake relief efforts and said its agents won’t charge transfer fees to anyone sending money to Haiti from the U.S., Canada and France for seven days after service is re-established throughout the country
- Web design and hosting company Go Daddy sent a check for $500,000 Wednesday to Hope for Haiti, an organization focusing on education, nutrition and health care
- Cereal maker Kellogg Co. pledged $250,000 to the American Red Cross
- American Airlines parent AMR Corp. said it will award 250 bonus miles to customers who give the American Red Cross $50-plus and 500 to those who donate $100-plus, from Thursday through Feb. 28
- Three American Eagle aircraft arrived in devastated Port-au-Prince on Wednesday with 30,000 pounds of water, food and other nonperishable goods
- Lowe’s Companies, Inc. have donated $1 million to the Red Cross for relief efforts
- Microsoft will make “an initial commitment” of $1.25 million for earthquake relief in Haiti, to support efforts including matching employee contributions of up to $12,000 per person, supplying emergency technology and creating awareness campaigns

- Not on Our Watch – an international advocacy organization founded by Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Brad Pitt, Clooney and producer Jerry Weintraub – announced Friday it would be giving $1 million in emergency funds to provide medical services to the earthquake victims
- Lipsey Water has donated 1.2 million bottles of water for immediate delivery through Louisiana’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP)
